Thanks to everyone at Travel Adventures for the opportunity to be a part of the National Performing Arts Festival. Getting to meet all of you and work with you has been a true joy for me. I value the education of students in the arts very highly and knowing that Travel Adventures is taking an active part in that is exciting. I was truly honored to be part of the festival.

Go behind the scenes and in front of an audience at National Performing Arts Festival at Disney World®! Your middle school or high school cast gives a minimum 10, maximum 20-minute performance, attends special clinics and workshops and may even earn a special privilege that few students enjoy: The opportunity to perform on one of Walt Disney World's® public stages.
Your tech crew students participate in exclusive tech seminars with Disney professionals at Walt Disney World®. They meet with Disney's experts to learn how these technical wizards create Disney Magic. Plus you'll have access to all of Walt Disney World's® popular theme parks, as well as full hotel accommodations.
Special Solo and Duo competitions will be held. These performance opportunities are designed for students who want personal instruction and critique. |
Students will:

Recognize it is possible to have a career in performing arts and technical theater through interaction with multiple theater professionals in an educational setting

Gain confidence by performing for other festival participants and our panel of experts in an atmosphere of sharing and learning
-
Assess their personal proficiency while watching quality performances from other student groups
-
Identify key developmental opportunities by receiving written critical feedback and working with expert theater clinicians
-
Learn new skills by attending specialty clinics and seminars covering topics such as Audition Techniques, Vocal Conditioning, Stage Movement and more

Learn about sound, lighting and other technical aspects of theater production by observing and receiving instructions from some of Disney’s technical experts

Be encouraged to think out of the box during an interactive Q & A session with Disney technical professionals

Have great fun in Disney parks and observe various live stage performances by Disney’s professional cast members.

Be recognized at a special Awards Ceremony

Compete for the Showcase Award and perform on a Disney public stage

Awards:

A commemorative award will be givien to all participating groups at a Special Awards Ceremony

A commemorative award will be given to Solo and Duo participants
-
Additional awards will be presented to groups and individuals for outstanding performances

The top group will be featured in a Showcase Performance on a Walt Disney World® Stage. Showcase performances must be appropriate for Disney’s tradition of family entertainment
Theater Division Requirements :

Submit a registration form and $100 registration fee
-
If accepted, be prepared to share a 10-minute minimum, 20-minute maximum performance of selections from a theater production. The performance may showcase some major production numbers and/or dialogue and character interaction. It does not need to be a condensed version of the whole show.

Use minimal costumes and props. Due to limited space and time, only the costumes and props necessary for the successful performance of the scenes are allowed. Time constraints and lack of changing rooms make elaborate sets, props and costumes impossible. All props or costumes must be carried by hand to the stage and are not considered in the adjudication rating process.

A CD player, microphones, sound system and piano (only if requested in writing in advance) are available for your production. Groups must provide their own pianist.
Solo and Duo Requirements :
- Submit a registration form and payment ($40.00/Solo Event and $40.00/Duo Event)
- Perform a 5-minute maximum musical or dramatic selection for a professional adjudicator
- The session (including performance and critical feedback) is 15 minutes
- Lip-synching perfromances are not permitted
- CD accompaniment is permitted

- A Disney Casting Director will provide an interactive workshop focusing on a how to secure a position at Walt Disney World® Resort
- Professional technicians assisting in operating sound and lights for your production

We had such a wonderful time! I can’t express how much we enjoyed our trip. The Lion King was incredible! We had two kids receive outstanding performance recognition at the festival. I learned so much at the clinics. Having everything so beautifully planned for us was great.

At National Peforming Arts Festivals in New York, your students get advice and feedback from the people who light up the "Great White Way". They meet performers just starting out as well as professionals who run the show.
Your student cast performs a 10 minute minimum, 20-minute maximum selection for critique by a panel of theater experts. Students will also attend acting, stage movement/dance, and vocal clinics. They'll catch a Broadway show, have the opportunity to meet Broadway performers, and meet Fresh Talent, a group of performers now launching their careers.

BAHAMAS CRUISE FESTIVAL

Your student cast performs a 10 minute minimum, 20-minute maximum selection for critique by a panel of theater experts on board the Monarch of the Seas. Students will also attend acting, stage movement/dance, and vocal clinics. They'll have fabulous meals and visit Nassau and the Island of Coco Cay.
